ARIFF AZLAN ALYMANN
Ariff graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. His final year project focused on the interactions of rats and their barn owl predators. Since then, he has started his Masters of Science degree in Zoology at Universiti Sains Malaysia, where his research topic is "Ecology of the Asian Water Monitor".
Research interests: he hopes to encourage the use of biological control of rats using a wide range of predators.

MUHAMMAD SYAFIQ BIN MOHD ZALUDIN
Syafiq graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2020 with a Bachelor in Science (Biology) majoring in Agrobiology. His final year project was on biopesticide efficacy towards bagworm moths in oil palm plantations. After he completed his studies, he joined BORG and is currently pursuing his Masters degree on rodent pests in oil palm plantations.
Research Interests: Realizing the importance of plant protection, precisely the oil palm yield of production, he wishes to focus on rodent pest management and behaviour. He believes that pest management is a top priority to ensure our nations' food security and economy.

KEFAS BABALE SHITTA
Kefas graduated from the Federal University of Technology Yola Nigeria with Bachelor of Technology in Zoology and a Masters degree in Applied Entomology and Parasitology from University of Jos Nigeria. Currently he is pursuing aDoctoral degree in Medical Entomology in Universiti Sains Malaysia, looking at the Ecology of mosquitoes in the rice fields and their resistance to insecticides.
Research interests: He is interested in the biological control of rodents in the rice field using Barn Owl, particularly when he returns to Nigeria his home country to establish such a knowlege acquired from the Barn Owl group at the end of his studies on mosquitoes

AZIMAN AMININ BIN AZWAN
ELVINTIRAN BALAN JALONG
Elvin completed his undergraduate studies at Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2023, graduating with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Agrobiology. With his final year project focusing on cultivation of wild medicinal mushroom. He then enrolled under Universiti Sains Malaysia to further his studies and is currently pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Agroentomology. His current research study concerns bunch moths in oil palm plantations.
Research interest: He aims to study a wide range of oil palm pest and diseases in order to assist the oil palm and agriculture industry.

WAN NUR AMNI BINTI WAN AHMAD SUKRI
Amni graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Majoring in Biology and Management of Vector and Parasite) from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2015. She then went on to complete her Masters in Science in the field of Pest Management in 2018, with her project focusing on commensal rat pests in an urban area. She is now employed as a Pest Control Officer at
DR MOHAMAD SAFWAN BIN MOHD SAUFI
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science, Safwan worked as a field biologist for a year with a pest control company before deciding to further his studies. He received his Masters of Sciences in Health Toxicology in 2014. Both his undergraduate and masters study emphasized on insects. Safwan graduated with a Doctor in Philosophy in 2020; where his research centered on barn owls and their potential as biological agent to control rat population in urban areas. Safwan is currently working at a pest control company based in Penang.
